September 2014

With water temperatures dropping into the low 80′s you can tell that fall is right around the corner. The end of September has seen an above average amount of rain which has not slowed down the fishing. Bait is plentifully around the beach near Anna Maria Island and some bait can be found on the flats near the mouth of the Manatee River along with the flats around the Intercostal water ways. The Redfish bite has been outstanding with most clients catching 20 plus fish a trip. The opening month of Snook season has been productive with several of our clients landing keeper size Snook, but most of our clients are choosing to let them go so one day they will be a trophy fish.  The Redfish and Snook bite will continue to be productive through October with Snook moving towards the Rivers and back waters. If you are looking to book your fishing trip and are staying around Anna Maria Island ,Holmes Beach, Bradenton Beach, Bradenton, or surrounding areas give Capt. Kyle (941.345.7182) a call http://www.annamariainshorefishing.com/ or check out my brother, Capt. Ryan at http://www.bradentoninshorefishing.com/
